Echo Biometric is an app from Vaulted Security. It uses your phone (Trusted Device) and your fingerprint to help prove it’s you signing in. When we need to make sure it’s you, your phone will automatically receive a seamless verification prompt which you can either Verify (valid login) with your fingerprint or simply Deny (unauthorized login).

Tip: Echo Biometric is one of the most secure second steps for signing in to Vaulted account.

To avoid lock out, it is important to generate and store them securely. We recommend you setup at-least two 2-Step Verification methods.

Setup

  1. Download Vaulted Security Echo Biometric app from Google Play store on your Trusted Device.

  2. Make sure your Trusted Device has your fingerprint registered and active.

  3. Open the Echo app and login to your Vaulted account.

  4. Your device is now ready to receive verification prompts.

You can manage the trusted devices by navigating to Account Settings > 2-Step Verification > Trusted Device Prompt.

You can register up to 3 Trusted Devices per account. All of these devices will receive a prompt to verify the 2-Step Verification using your device's fingerprint.

Important note: If multiple users have registered fingerprints to unlock the Trusted Device, any of those user's fingerprint shall authorize the Echo verification prompt. We recommend using Echo Biometric only when one (1) user's fingerprint (device owner's) is registered to unlock.
